Terms of Service

Last updated: August 2, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Hash List and the datahashsecure.com website, provided by Data Hash Secure ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the software, you agree to these Terms.

1. The service

Hash List is a desktop application that normalizes and hashes a selected column of data (using MD5 or SHA-256) locally on your computer. It is intended to help you share suppression or duplicate lists with marketing partners without disclosing the original contact data.

2. Accounts

You must provide accurate account information and keep your password secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. You must be at least 16 years old and able to enter into a binding contract.

3. Subscription and billing

  • Hash List is offered as an annual subscription for $49.99 per year.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically each year unless canceled before the renewal date.
  • Payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize the recurring charge.
  • You can cancel at any time through the billing portal; your access continues until the end of the paid period.
  • Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable.

4. License

Subject to these Terms and an active subscription, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use Hash List for your internal business purposes on up to two (2) devices. The application may operate offline for a limited grace period (approximately 14 days) between license validations.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Copy, resell, sublicense, or redistribute the software;
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code, except as permitted by law;
  • Circumvent the licensing, device limits, or update mechanisms;
  • Use the software to violate any applicable law or third-party rights, including data-protection and anti-spam laws;
  • Use the software in a way that could harm, disable, or overburden our systems.

6. Your data and responsibilities

You are solely responsible for the data you process and for ensuring you have the right to process and share it. Hashing helps protect original contact information but is not a claim of complete anonymity. You remain responsible for complying with any laws and agreements that apply to your data and your relationships with your marketing partners.

7. Updates

We may release updates, including required security updates. Updates are cryptographically signed and verified before installation. Some features may change or be discontinued over time.

8. Intellectual property

Hash List, the Data Hash Secure name, and associated logos are our property. These Terms do not grant you any rights in our trademarks or branding.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

The software is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the software will be uninterrupted or error-free.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Data Hash Secure will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits or data, arising from your use of the software. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

11. Termination

You may stop using the software and cancel your subscription at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or if your subscription lapses. Upon termination, your license ends.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
